Meet Gilly, one of the Irish crew from Missouri, who has been living life large in Iowa with Cheryl Collins and Skye her Irish not to mention a pack of wascally Wire Fox Terriers at WFTRM. Cheryl does so love the Irish and falls madly in love and they break her heart when they pack their leash and leave. Gilly is no exception because he is the kindest most gentle guy.
Gilly is 4 years old – born on 24 December 2014. and is learning the ropes about being a beloved pet from Skye. Cheryl loves working with dogs like Gilly – in fact, we are blessed to have her. Gilly needs socialization, time to build trust and just experience living in a home as a pet. He is learning leash walking, house training, all about Toys, playing, seeing mirrors, television and of course treats. Dogs like Gilly don’t know how to take things from your hand. Working with him is so rewarding – just watching the daily progress and transformation is amazing. Cheryl’s favorite thing is turning a guy like this into a trusting pet, so when Irish crew came to ITRN, she stepped up to offered room at the inn for him.
Gilly keeps her laughing as that Irish spirit comes out, and those heart warming eyes twinkle with mischief. He just wants to trust and be loved. Cheryl reports thad she found him walking on the desk this morning. When asked “What’s going on, Gilly?”, he jumped down with laughing eyes and big smile. Hmmm, how do you discipline a smiling Irish?
